Build Muscle According To Your Body Type

This is my basic guideline article on how to build muscle based on which one of the three body types you have - endomorph, mesomorph, and ectomorph. Knowing your body type can help you do the correct type of exercise, which will allow you to either lose fat or gain muscle - whatever you are aiming for!

The first body type, the Endomorph, is characterized by the following:
The endomorph is generally shorter and bulky, and usually characterized by round body shapes. Endomorphs have shorter and fatter arms and legs, and their torso is wider and shorter. I think that you can get the picture. Remember Danny De Vito?
If this is you, don’t worry, because you can build a nice body, too. In fact, the endomorphs are in a good position for muscle building. Although you might have some fat on top of your muscles, you can get rid of the fat without reducing the muscles. The first step to doing that would be to accept your body type and take the measures necessary to achieve your goals based on your genetic predisposition.
Then, you need to get to work. Since you want to get muscle definition, you need to get rid of the top level of fat. You are naturally inclined to put on weight, so you need to be extremely careful with your diet - reduce sugars and refined fats as much as possible. And now, it is time for action - exercise! For your body type you need intense strength-building exercises on a regular basis. You need to challenge your body! The keywords here are regular and intense. Don't let the intensity go down, keep your body challenged with regular exercises and the results will follow.

The second body type, the Mesomorph, can be described like this:
The mesomorph has a naturally muscular and relatively lean body. Thus the mesomorph possesses the perfect basis for building muscles - broad shoulders, barrel chest, and muscular arms and legs. So do you look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club? Are you this lucky?
If you are a mesomorph, that is good, but this doesn't mean that you should not exercise or watch your diet. The fact is simply that you have a head start. The truth is also that you would still need intense exercises. Reducing refined fats and sugars from your diet will also help. If you keep these two simple rules, then you will definitely achieve your muscle building and fat burning goals much faster than the other two body types. Just follow your exercising routine and keep challenging your great muscles and watch them grow!

And lastly, we have the third body type, the Ectomorph:
The ectomorph body type has a tendency towards leanness and slimness. The ectomorph carries little muscle, but little body fat as well. So do you look like a skinny volleyball player? Does this sound like you?
So, if you have the ectomorph body type, then your biggest problem is exactly muscle gain. But not to worry, as you are at the right place. Muscle building is a big challenge for you, and you need to have a great strategy for it and stick to it every day. When you are skinny, you can gain some fat, but you will not gain muscle, unless you go after some really intense strength-exercising. You need to show your body that you mean business and that it has to put on muscle if it wants to survive the pressure you put on it. In case you find that you burn fat easily through your exercises, but you have trouble gaining muscle, you would need to increase the intensity and decrease the volume of your workout. No need to mention that you would need to give your body regular rest to rebuild itself.

This article presented you with the three body types, the endomorph, the mesomorph, and the ectomorph. It also showed you how they influence what you need to do to build muscle. Being aware of your body type allows one to focus on the right things to do in order to achieve the perfect shape based on body type. This is a good place to start from. Still, you will also need a good workout and diet program, which will give you the chance to make the best of the body type you have.
